Acts 1:12-26

  1. A Heart to Obey Christ, vs. 12
    The disciples went to Jerusalem to wait for the Holy Spirit, just like Jesus told them to do.

  2. A Heart to Worship Christ, vs. 13-14
    The disciples, together, met with others, including ladies, to pray and worship.

  3. A Heart to Stand up and Speak up for Christ, vs. 15
    Peter stood up and spoke without hesitation.

  4. A Heart to Discern Truths in Christ, vs. 16-20
    Peter talked about the sin of Judas and how his sinful deeds will always be looked down on, as sin.

  5. A Heart for Christ’s Scripture, Not Man’s. Vs. 21-23
    Peter says they all are witnesses of Jesus Christ’s life and resurrection.

  6. A Heart to Trust Christ, vs. 24-26
    They prayed before casting lots to replace Judas.

The Legacy of our Christian Faith

Acts 1:4-11

Legacy = a gift, money or property from a will. An inheritance. A heritage. A bequest. An Endowment

vs. 4,5 = We have the baptism by the Holy Spirit
First Corinthians 12:13 - being baptized by the Holy Spirit puts us ALL into one body

vs. 6,7 = We have open communication with Jesus Christ, possible at all times

vs. 8 = We have the Holy Spirit’s power
Galatians 4:18 - having zeal isn’t enough, you need growth too.

vs. 9-11 = We have hope in Jesus’ return
It could be at any time!
